Garden Wedding Ceremonies at Jells Park

Garden Weddings

Ever attended a Garden Wedding? If so, you would have some idea of how memorable and personal they can be.

There is a warmth and uniqueness that comes about from holding your wedding ceremony in the Park, Jells Park.

We organise wedding in Jells Park throughout the year from 10 people to 500 people.

Your event will be fully catered and serviced you will only need to turn up and enjoy the day.

There are a few different locations within the park that Ceremonies & Marquees are permitted — see attached map.

If possible it is best for you to have a drive/walk around the different location to make sure you select the perfect space for your special day.

A wedding ceremony package in Jells Park is $280 (gst inc)

What’s that include?

A pop up canopy (3m x 3m), 12 chairs for guests and signing table with linen.

Madeline’s at Jells can offer a range of services including additional seating, marquees, wedding accessories, refreshments and catering.

Some things to consider when planning a garden wedding.

Site Plan

A pencil drawing of the proposed site will assist you with ideas on placement for additional services such as D.J., Caterer, Guest Seating, Lighting and Electrical Points, Bathroom Facilities. A good floor plan will be a major asset to planning your event. Keep it handy.

Ceremony Site

Does the site require shelter from the unpredictable weather?  If it is a late evening ceremony, ensure that the sun will not be in your eyes. Melbourne weather is unpredictable. Ensure that the location can be moved if need be.

Guest Seating

Try to be considerate of your guests if you are not supplying seating. Elderly guests will appreciate chairs, regardless of the length of the ceremony.

Entrance Point

Always opt for a grand entrance for the bride and her attendants. Along the pathway to the altar, allow ample room for the bride and her escort to walk between the guests. Ensure you have removed obstacles that will not hinder or catch on the wedding gown. A red carpet runner always makes a statement.  Cars may be allowed in to the park with prior arrangement.

Please Note: Parks Victoria does not permit confetti, rice or rose petals or any other item to be thrown. With regard to rubbish removal Parks Victoria has a carry in carry out policy, any rubbish, food and beverage containers, decorations must be taken home with you unless prior arrangements have been made.
